We have made the film All Alone Together through immense determination, breaking the mold of traditional filmmaking, and conquering the terrifying head-on. At its core, this film was created by Alex Nimrod (writer/star), Maximus Jenkins (director), Kaleb Manske (cinematographer/editor), and Jordan Rice (Producer). Over the past 2 years, this core creative team has spent day and night working towards the completion of this film, all while being full-time students at the University of Southern California. Our commitment to the creation of innovative and meaningful art has led to sacrifices at nearly every level. Beyond the time constraints, we were also battling financial setbacks during the creation of this film. Despite applying to multiple grants and pleading for the school to allocate some of their funds to their student projects, we were required to garner the money ourselves, which only made us stronger. The four of us worked multiple digital marketing jobs (on top of school and this film), where we would pay ourselves $0. These gigs plus some fundraising from friends and family are what allowed us to acquire the $15,000 budget.

Our goal is to deceive the audience, making our incredibly-low budget be a shock compared to the genuine quality of the film. While the four of us are the core creative team, this film would not be possible without the hard work of our incredible talented cast, crew, and post-production team. It is through the “trojan-network” (a belief that USC alum must stick together and help each other), that we were able to create a high quality film with a score made by someone at Remote Control, sound editing by an Emmy award winner, as well as a colorist who is working at the best color house in America (Company 3).

At our core, we are dreamers with an overwhelming ambition and drive. No problem is too large for this team. Between filming, post-production, and distribution we have faced over a thousand road bumps, but nevertheless we are able to emerge from each of these troubles stronger than before. Between our changing schedules, tight shoot days, and our small crew, it was a constant battle of making decisions to prioritize the quality of the film, while sacrificing a regular college experience. We wholeheartedly believe in this film, and hope that our creative and entrepreneurial spirit shines throughout.
